Around 10 – 20 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans every year. The economic impact of this situation amounts to losses of $13 billion per year created by financial losses to fisheries and tourism. Plastics have become an integral part of our daily lives, bringing improvements, convenience and cost savings. While delivering many benefits, plastics also account for numerous complex issues. To solve this problem and find new opportunities we took part in EU Conference on Plastics.
on the 8th and 9th of December 2016 we participated in European Conference on Plastics in Rotterdam. Experts from the entire plastics value chain came together to create the right conditions to close the plastics loop and included their ideas into EU strategy. During the Conference we participated in round table discussion about recycling fishing gear on the large scale which was a big dose of knowledge and inspiration for our activity.
