Discarded fishing equipment can be given new life through recycling. When old fishing nets, ropes, and other plastic-based equipment are collected by Nofir, they are sorted, cleaned, and processed into plastic granulate—small plastic pellets that serve as raw material for new production. This granulate can then be used to manufacture a wide range of new products, such as furnitures, automotive parts, plastic pipes, and even packaging.
